I would like to gain weight- about 10 pounds. When I do gain, my belly and breasts get bigger. While I don’t mind my breasts getting bigger, I don’t want my belly to. If I wore a waist cincher or corset everyday, do you think I could keep my belly from getting big?
No, you would still gain weight in the same places, you would just be squeezing it into the corset.
A waist cincher has plastic rods in that help conform the body temporarily creating a smooth uniform shape of the body. When a waist cincher is taken off, the body returns back to the shape it was in before.
A corset, on the otherhand when made from steel boning and laced properly, over long term use, about 9 months, will permanently conform the body to the shape of corset you are wearing. Because corsets are usually worn very tightly, you cannot eat as much and can result in weight loss. There are underbust and overbust corsets. Underbust corsets are recommended for tightlacing and waist training (reduction of the waist in inches/cm)
You could try light core training to keep the belly size down. Light belly exercises could still allow you to gain the 10 pounds but keeping your belly structured and under control
*You should always become educated in tight lacing and waist training before wearing one because they can move the inside bodily organs around
Good luck to you
