I have researched spanx a little bit and heard they are great, but i was wondering what was out there. My dress is at the knee and I don’t want one that has to be connected to the bra on top.”

I’ve tried spanx – I liked the tank top style one, but that won’t really work for a prom dress. I didn’t really like the "suit" like thing that was short shorts up to right under my bra.
I haven’t tried the Dr. Ray (from Dr. 90210) but that might be worth a try for your dance!
