There is a term used in business today: multiple streams of income. It is a powerful concept, one taught by many, and it builds upon the words of yesterday, to not put all your eggs in one basket. Yesterday we talked about a natural feature of this world that supports our endeavors, taking one seed and from it comes many new opportunities.
Thursday, April 1, 2010 is 10 Chicchan, the Serpent in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. Ten is the number associated with manifestation, or completion. When are we ever complete? Our life is a work in progress, and at no point do we stop breathing and say, “I have enough now”.
Life is designed as the original “multiple streams” experience. Consciousness isn’t just about the moment to moment stuff, its about “all of the above”. Today we bring in the spirit of Chicchan, a voice which in my interpretation means “multiple streams of living, doing, and having”.
Today is an excellent day to focus on the many layers of living that happen simultaneously. Yes we have projects that are time consuming and far from completion, but we also have the moment, the simple pleasures in life, breath and a heartbeat, and the ability to reach out to another. In the words of Chicchan, “Life is meant to be experienced, not just remembered”.
