There is a technique that was developed by Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, a Hawaiian Kahuna Lapa’au, back in 1983. This technique focuses on the first step to any relationship, and that is within ourselves. This technique is so simple, perhaps a little too simple for some of the complex situations we create. But miracles always begin in simple places: forgiveness, love, trust, and our ability to connect.
This technique is called “Ho’oponopono, and it consists of four statements:
- I’m sorry
- Please forgive me
- I love you
- Thank you
You don’t need to make an outward statement with these phrases, they are more intended for your inner world. By repeating these phrases, especially when combined with a focus (a problem, situation, or person), you can discharge the energies and emotions infused into the area of concern. No one else needs to know of your intent or your use of this tool.
Amazing things can happen when you use this technique. In fact, miracles can take place. When we change ourselves it reflects into the world around us. Hard feelings can dissipate. Anger can diffuse. People who frustrate us can suddenly turn in the direction of support. Miracles can and do happen in our lives, and those miracles begin in simple places. This technique is a great tool in self healing and helping the world around us, and is an awesome starting point in the practice of creating miracles in your day.
Thanks go out to Joe Vitale for reminding me of this powerful technique, and to Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona for sharing this tool with the world.
